Pictures: Excursion, 9 August

On Friday afternoon the conference participants took a bus excursion to Pürgg and Frauenberg bei Admont. In Pürgg we went to the 12th-century Johannes-Kapelle, which contains amazing frescoes. There is also a Gothic church, although it was heavily modified in the Baroque era.

After Pürgg, we headed to Frauenberg bei Admont. Admont itself is visible in the the Enns valley below. In the Frauenkirche we were treated to a wonderful organ concert by Rod Thomson.
